1) You gain 5DKP for signing up
2) You gain 10 DKP for finishing a raid that you signed up for.
3) You have more chance of getting to raid than if you don`t sign up.
I am saying this because we currently have a situation where we are filling a 25 man raid but only 18-20 are signing. I am in the habit of having 35 people sign up to raid and then picking the raid team 24 hours before hand and this helps get a more balanced ansd successful raid. If only 20 sign up and i find myself having to ask around to those online, then we get an unbalanced raid like last night with 6 druids and no rogue!
Some people arent certain if they are going to be available. This I fully understand as real life comes first. However their is nothing stopping anyone from signing up and cancelling their sign up 24 hours before if they cant make it, or even adding a note to their sign up saying "may be late" or "on call for work" etc. It does make a big difference.
Always remember to sign in the queue using the orange arrow and never the green one. And if we have more than one ICC10 in a week and you sign for both, then please remember to cancel your signup for the 2nd as the raid leader may not be aware that you are saved.
Finally, If you sign up to raid and dont turn up, then you are going to get fined regardless of the excuse. I know that occasionally it is unavoidable, but we are getting people sign up and either "no show" or worse come online and say they don`t want to raid! Many times I`ve heard very believable and acceptable reasons from players who are online 30 mins late and apologise for being stuck in traffic etc and sometimes i get very poor excuses which are obviously lies. As I cant always decide accurately who is genuine and who isnt, then be aware that everyone gets fined regardless if they are late or no show. (without a note on their signup) OUR RAIDS START AT 19.45 and all should be online 15 mins before.
I`m going to take a hard line on this again, as several raids have been held up recently while we find replacements.
First offence 30DKP fine
repeated offences 50DKP
Persistant offenders will be removed from the guild after warnings.
I hope you all agree with me that we need to regain a little discipline. These are not rule changes, as they have been in the rules for ages!
